The Fruit Of Love Is Service

"Open your mouth on behalf of the mute, for the rights of the destitute; Open your mouth, judge justly, defend the needy and the poor" (Proverbs 31:8-9)

Catholic Campus Ministry seeks to provide opportunities to learn about and engage in the surrounding community. Contact Theresa (phamtm3@mymail.vcu.edu) for more information.

GET INVOLVED

Volunteer at Carver Elementary School

Play games, mentor, and hang out with children at a local elementary school! Many of the students from this school come from impoverished homes and need a positive role model. Volunteers come once a week and have a huge impact on these students' lives!

Breaking Bread

Cook a meal once a month for the Daily Planet Medical Respite. Many of the residents here are homeless or impoverished and have no one to care for them while they recover from medical procedures. Come cook a meal for them, hang out with them, and walk away knowing some amazing people in our local community.

Ashes and Easter Lilies to the Homebound

During the Lenten and Easter Season, CCM students deliver Ash Wednesday ashes and Easter Lilies to the homebound members of the Cathedral community. This is a beautiful way to brighten someone's day and let them know that their parish family is thinking of them and missing them!

Alternative Spring Break

Are you interested in traveling and helping those in need? ASB gives students the opportunity to work with a community outside of Richmond and make a difference while surrounded by their CCM friends!
